Hello Everyone! This “How To Do” for a Half Glitter Cut Crease, also with Black Smokey Eyeliner, was a huge challenge for me. This type of makeup has many layers, each that must overlap and not bleed into each other. Many times I would apply a line of glitter, then I had to wait for it to dry before moving on. This made the makeup routine much longer to apply, so I will be working to make this method more efficient in the future. Overall though, I am happy with how it turned out, considering it was my first time attempting the look.
After setting the base I started creating the look using the VIOLET VOSS | Like A Boss – PRO Eyeshadow Palette. One of the main goals is to build up color slowly so it is blended well and still maintains the bold brown nature.
To bring out the smokey characteristic, I utilized a black eye shadow and a soft brush. After bringing the smokey wing into play, it is time to “Cut the Crease” which is the basis for this look. In my case I am utilizing a half crease, which is only halfway across the eyelid.
Finally, utilizing the smallest brush ever, I take the glitter from the larger container and very lightly apply the line of glitter. In this look I also add a pop of color in the inner corner accent, which took a while to get a match with the existing glitter. I hope you enjoyed this unique pop of glitter and new half-crease method. If you like this, you may also like a more neutral look, this time with bold lips. Until next time…
